CAN I INSTRUCT A BARRISTER VIA PUBLIC ACCESS WHEN I HAVE ALREADY INSTRUCTED A SOLICITOR?
Our chambers may accept instructions from you even if you have a solicitor, however, we reserve the right to refuse your instructions but our barrister will make an assessment before taking that decision.
Our barrister may ask you to provide your written permission for her to contact your solicitor before making a decision whether to accept your instructions and/or choose to work with your solicitor.
REGULATED BY THE BAR STANDARDS BOARD
Direct Access barristers are regulated by the Bar Council and the Bar Standards Board and have strict professional rules by which they abide, giving you the benefit of consumer protection and the backing of a professional conduct regime built up over centuries.
Only the barristers who have achieved a specialist direct access qualification are allowed to work directly with clients.
